Happiness

The American Declaration of Independence lists three inalienable rights: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
We have the right to pursue being happy, not just dream about it. We have this right in all states of being: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
Happiness is an internal state. It does not come from outside of us.
We find ourselves being happy when we encounter certain situations. We may see things to which we react happily. It is we, however, who decide to be happy. Happiness is a state of mind, a result. We choose how we feel.
As we focus on a negative aspect, we may feel sad, upset, anger, fear.
Focusing on positive aspects, however, lets us feel uplifted, joyful, happy. Being at the beach, for instance, on a sunny day with a light breeze, with waves moving in and out, may automatically lift our spirits. Being in the presence of a smiling newborn usually causes everyone around to smile and feel better. Smiling, in fact, is generally uplifting and contagious. Holding a beloved pet results in feelings of relaxation and contentment, easing feelings of sorrow, unease and pain. Being in a garden or walking in the woods may help one feel at home, peaceful and without a care.
Happiness can be like minded people working together and it can be people with opposite views working in harmony.
We control our own happiness. Raise your own vibes. Feel grateful for something. Sing and/or listen to your favorite song. Watch your favorite comedian.
Happy are they who walk in gratitude, compassion, forgiveness, mercy, kindness, peace and joy.
Happiness is having elevated frequencies.
Happiness is being in love.
Happiness is being love.
Our choice.
