    We Control Our Reaction

for September 13, 2022

We are responsible for how we react to any and all things that we experience. It may be the only thing that we have any say over in some instances.
Everything we experience is a learning event if it catches our attention. Things may happen a kgillion times. If we notice it, we are responsible for our reaction.
How do we react to the way we feel?
Do we focus on the feeling(s)? Do we look at why we are feeling what we feel?
      What do we notice?
Do we always feel the same about it?
Is it time to change the feeling?

How do we change feeling(s)? By replacing it with something else. Do we imagine a certain event occurring, see our usual reaction, then re-imagine a new reaction. This reprograms self. For example, if we are cut off in traffic and replace our usual reaction with “Thank you.”, we may experience this differently.
We modify our actions by answering our own questions.
This is a time when all is being revealed. Energy levels are rising to points where it is easier to see. It is important to see how we may react and what we can do to alter our reactions.
Suppose we see that some horrible things have been taking place. What might be our normal reaction? Disgust? Judgement? Fear? Revulsion? Sympathy, empathy, compassion for those suffering in these instances?
It is useful to look at why we feel the way we do. We can learn much, including how we may wish to change our feelings.
Do we feel fear because it might happen to us or one we care about? Are we judgemental because we fear what could happen to us?
Do we identify with those targeted by such acts?
Do we feel shame because we have somehow permitted such things to occur?

What’s done is done? We cannot undo. We can, however, change the circumstances that have allowed certain things to occur. Has it been noticed that many speak up saying they “do not want this to happen to anyone else.” Or “This must stop now.”

How? By collectively deciding we will not accept such things occurring in our world. As enough decide for a certain course of action, this is what will happen. This is what we will see occur. As the Critical Mass [the 100th monkey effect] occurs, we have, by our individual deciding, changed our collective behavior and thus modified our shared world.

What can we do? … What we can do!

We affect all around us by our thoughts which are influenced by our feelings.

We are here to experience. How and What is our choice.
